Guided closed eye process to find your strongest symbol of peace
- Call in the Light of the Whole Spirit, the Best Spirit, the Complete Spirit. Ask to be filled, surrounded, protected and guided by the Highest God and the Greatest Loving.
(1) Close your eyes…and think of a scene from Nature that was uplifting to you. It may be green, it may be the desert at night. It may be hang gliding off the top of a mountain…it may be the soft plik…plik…plik of water dripping onto cool moss…with fireflies and fairies dancing over a still pool of water… reflecting the full yellow moon in water.
Whatever your scene from nature is, stay with it. Soak up the feeling of it. Receive this feeling and allow it to permeate you as deeply as possible with its peace.
(2) Keep your eyes closed and remember hearing a piece of your favorite music. This can be any music that gets your body moving or your toes tapping. It could be fast music…slow music…classical…jazz…vocal…or instrumental. Find which music your body has the greatest response to…. That will be your strongest musical symbol of peace.
Whatever your favorite music is, stay with it. Soak up the feeling of it. Receive this feeling and allow it to permeate you as deeply as possible with its peace.
(3) Keep your eyes closed and recall the feeling of holding a pet you were in love with or very fond of. It can be any kind of animal you have a strong positive response to. Focus on the warmth or coolness of their body..the texture of their skin or fur… what their eyes look like and how they look at you.
Whatever your favorite pet is, stay with it. Soak up the feeling of holding your pet. Receive this feeling and allow it to permeate you as deeply as possible with its peace.
(4) Keep your eyes closed and recall a time when you were in the same room as a happy, healthy baby, one that you did not have to clean up after if you did not wish to. If you like, you can pick up the baby and recall how it felt to hold this baby. … … If you like… this baby can be yourself at a young age. … Go with whatever imagery gives you the strongest feeling response.
Stay with the baby …. Soak up the feeling of holding it. Receive this feeling and allow it to permeate you as deeply as possible with its peace.
(5) Keep your eyes closed and simply put your right hand over your heart. Use the right hand whether you are right or left handed. Feel your own loving come present. … You can picture someone you love if you wish … Look at them and connect yourself again to all the love you felt with them, from them and towards them.
Stay with the feeling of this gesture of hand on heart …. Soak up the feeling. Receive this feeling and allow it to permeate you as deeply as possible with its peace.
When you are ready, you can come back to the room. Write down which one or two of these symbols was strongest for you.
